We’ll cover what makes these San Antonio wedding venues some of the most amazing outdoor places to host your wedding and why we love them.
Let’s state the facts. These days outdoor wedding venues are prime locations for weddings and with good reason, (thanks Rona) they offer an open air space with plenty of room to host a social event that requires social distancing.
As a wedding photographer we’ve been to just about every indoor and outdoor wedding venue in the area and with over 10 years of capturing weddings under our belts we can definitely share with you some of our favorites.
We picked these outdoor wedding venues based on a few key components.
- Location.
- We chose the outdoor wedding venues that geographically are located in the San Antonio area city limits.
- Outdoor space for ceremony and reception.
- The outdoor space had to be able to host the ceremony and reception outdoors comfortably.
- Indoor or covered area available.
- Even though we are looking at outdoor wedding venues, we also wanted there to be an option to retreat indoors if needed.

The Gardens at West Green: A Hidden Outdoor Wedding Venue
It’s no secret this venue holds a special place in my heart. I was married here in 2010. I was a bride once too and let me tell you this place was the perfect space for my journey to begin. With a ceremony site perfect for an intimate wedding outdoors this outdoor wedding venue was a no brainer for me.
This venue is 95% outdoors with the dance floor, ceremony, and reception areas all outdoors, bridal suite, and grooms room indoors. Venue in picture ready in every corner and has amazing amenities included at a very affordable cost. With plenty of free parking for your guests and easy access from major highways this outdoor venue is San Antonio’s beautiful secret garden tucked away just minutes from the Rim. Definitely a must see it’s even more beautiful in person!

The Lambermont Mansion: A Fairytale Outdoor Wedding Venue
This venue is something out of a fairytale. With an indoor space that can accommodate overnight stays and an outdoor space that is ready for anything. This historical beauty will wow you with its character alone.
What I love most about this outdoor wedding venue is that every wedding at this venue is completely different.
Every wedding I have captured here has had a different layout and use of the space which shows just how versatile the space can be. Located just minutes from Hotel Emma and The Pearl it is in great company.

Granberry Hills Event Facility: Two Ceremony Site Outdoor Wedding Venue
Granberry Hills Event Facility is another one of our favorite venues for outdoor weddings. With two ceremony sites and a covered outdoor reception area this outdoor venue has acres of land to accommodate you and your guests with ease. The Veranda: Charming Outdoor Wedding Venue
The Veranda is a charming estate with a stone house surrounded by a lush green landscape perfect for your outdoor wedding. Multiple ceremony options and reception layouts this too has endless possibilities. Indoor spaces include a bridal suite, and covered/enclosed reception area perfect for both medium and intimate events.

Jack Guenther Pavilion at The Briscoe: Downtown Outdoor Wedding Venue
Jack Guenther Pavilion at The Briscoe is a great space in the heart of downtown San Antonio perfect for an outdoor wedding. With indoor and outdoor options to accommodate events large or small. Let’s not forget that the Riverwalk is a short stroll away. This venue is great for the local looking for something central for your out of town guests, or the destination wedding dream with plenty of options for hotel accommodations and additional leisure.
